It’s been nine years since Michelle Obama was First Lady of the United States. Yet on Sunday (June 14), Josh Hokit seemingly had her top of mind during an exhibition at the White House. The UFC fighter came under fire overnight, into Monday, after calling Mrs. Obama “a man” following his win. Since then, UFC CEO Dana White has shunned the insult, while the White House and its leader remain silent on the matter.

Josh Hokit Targets Michelle Obama In Post-Win Comments
If Josh Hokit’s goal was attention from Donald Trump on Sunday, he seemingly got it! According to CNN, the president allegedly smiled briefly after the UFC fighter made the untrue and disrespectful remark about Michelle Obama. He made the allegation while speaking after his fight and praising Trump for having “the balls to put on some sh*t like this.”
“And lastly, Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America?” Hokit said on the White House’s South Lawn at an event meant to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence. The exhibition also aligned with Trump’s 80th birthday.

The attending crowd reportedly filled the air with a mixture of cheers and boos following the offensive comment. Michelle Obama has not publicly addressed the UFC fighter or the White House’s silence.

UFC CEO Slams Comment By Josh HoKit
One person who refused to let Josh Hokit’s comment stand is UFC CEO, Dana White. Speaking to TIME magazine on Monday via text, White dismissed the remark, calling it untrue and gross.
“I understand that the Obama’s are public figures but I’m completely against saying nasty and false things about people’s families. Everyone knows my position on free speech but I hate that kind of nonsense,” Dana White reportedly said.
According to TIME, Josh Hokit wasn’t even supposed to originally fight during Sunday’s exhibition. Apparently, in April, President Trump asked Dana White why one of his favorite fighters, Derrick Lewis, wasn’t in the line-up for D.C. In response, White added Lewis and selected Hokit as his opponent, despite previous concerns about his behaviors. White was also apparently giving Hokit the opportunity due to his performance at UFC 327 in Miami at the time.
Social Media Pops Off Over Disrespect Of Former First Lady
Like Dana White, plenty of social media users are condemning Josh Hokit’s unprovoked attack on the former First Lady. From Threads to X, videos of the UFC fighter’s remark have been circulating. Some folks are calling on the White House, namely the president and his wife Melania to take a stand, while others are demanding an apology from Hokit and encouraging the Obamas to call a lawyer! Meanwhile, others are choosing to focus on the new portrait of the Obamas unveiled on Monday at the Chicago Presidential Center.

It really shows how classy Barack and Michelle are because they're minding their own business while some bitch-ass UFC fighter disrespects her unprovoked and making an ass of himself. https://t.co/gyssdASFTl
