Mike Pence Publicly Receives The COVID-19 Vaccination

Friday morning Vice President Mike Pence publicly received the COVID-19 vaccination, making him the highest government official to get the shot during a televised event. Alongside him were his wife Karen Pence and Surgeon General Jerome Adams who received the vaccination as well.

According to CBS News, after receiving the vaccination he spoke with the press and said, “I didn’t feel a thing. Make no mistake about it: it’s a medical miracle. I also believe that history will record that this week was the beginning of the end of the coronavirus pandemic.”

However, he continued to encourage everyone to wear their masks and continue with practicing social distancing.

Prior to getting the vaccination, Pence and his wife released a statement Wednesday night and said he would get the vaccination publicly in order to publicly show his confidence in the vaccination.

Many people throughout social media have shared that they have been skeptical about the vaccinations. Nonetheless, some officials have been said to publicly receive the vaccination. As we previously reported, President-Elect Joe Biden is expected to publicly take the vaccination as early as next week.

He previously said, “I don’t want to get ahead of the line, but I want to make sure we demonstrate to the American people that it is safe to take. When I do it, I’ll take it publicly, so you all can witness my getting it done.”
