Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Released From Prison After Serving 8 Months For Tax Evasion

It looks like Mike Sorrentino a.k.a The Situation has finally been released from prison after serving some time for tax evasion.

According to Fox News, he was released on Thursday after completing an eight-month sentence. He took to Twitter to celebrate his release and simply tweeted “Turn up free!!! #freesitch”

He later said in a statement with his wife and said, “We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life. Thank you to our family, friends, and fans for the continuous love and support during this time, it brought us so much peace and comfort. We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby situations! We truly believe that the comeback is ALWAYS greater than the setback and we can’t wait to show the world ours.”

As we previously reported, earlier this year he was facing up to 15 years behind bars after getting caught up in the tax evasion scandal. Back in 2014, Mike and his brother Marc Sorrentino, who also acted as his manager, were charged with conspiracy to commit fraud.

According to the indictment, Mike and Marc Sorrentino reportedly “filed false tax returns that incorrectly reported millions made from promotions and appearances” and they “allegedly also claimed costly clothes and cars as business expenses and funneled company money into personal accounts.”

Nonetheless, everything seems all good now, and Mike seems excited to get back to his life.
