When they arrived at the location near 27th and Silver Spring around 1:36 a.m., they called in fire crews to help force the unit open. Inside, they didnt just find two children as initially believed. They discovered six, including a 2-month-old baby, with the oldest being just 9 years old. While none of the kids were physically harmed, the discovery has sparked outrage and deep concern across the community.
The Milwaukee Police Department confirmed the arrest of two adultsCharles Albert Dupriest, 33, and Azyia C. Zielinski, 26in connection with the incident. The district attorneys office is currently reviewing charges as the investigation remains active.One local woman told TMJ4 she often saw a family with children coming and going from the storage facility, even though authorities havent revealed an exact motive yet. On the flip side, another nearby tenant claimed they had never seen kids around the area, raising more questions about how long this had been happening and who may have known.

Another local resident, Tonya Lowe, said the situation deeply affected her. We have failed these kids, she said, urging the community to do better. We dont need to be cruel and treat our kids like animals.
