Ming & Aoki Lee Simmons Are Not Here For Oprah Winfrey Following Her Previous Involvement In A Documentary About Their Dad Russell Simmons

If you know anything about Ming Lee Simmons and Aoki Lee Simmons, you know that they do not play any games when it comes to their family. The two daughters of Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee are absolutely not here for Oprah Winfrey these days—following her previous involvement in a documentary about their dad.

Ming Lee Simmons and Aoki Lee Simmons are letting it be known that they definitely don’t appreciate Oprah’s previous involvement in a documentary regarding the sexual assault allegations against their father Russell Simmons.

If you’ve been keeping up, you’ll recall that Oprah was previously executive producing an explosive documentary about the allegations against Russell, featuring exclusive interviews with several of his alleged victims. However, earlier this month (and just weeks before the documentary was set to be screened) Oprah backed out at the last minute.

Oprah claimed she pulled out of the project due to creative differences, not because she was forced or because she doesn’t believe the alleged victims:

“First and foremost, I want it to be known that I unequivocally believe and support the women. Their stories deserve to be told and heard. This is not a victory for Russell and I unequivocally say that I did not because of Russell. This is not a victory lap for him. I cannot be silenced by a Russell Simmons after all I’ve been through.”

Despite her pulling out, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee are still not seeing it for her. Aoki Lee posted photo of herself and Ming Lee in the middle of what looked like a heated conversation. The text on the photo, which was uploaded to Instagram stories, read “You don’t even know how mad Oprah makes me.”

Aoki Lee is known to clap back at anyone coming for her family, so we are definitely not surprised at her or her sister’s response.
