Minnie Mouse’s Iconic Look Changes For The First Time To Include Pantsuit Designed By Stella McCartney

Minnie Mouse has sported her iconic polka dot dress for the entire century since her conception, but she’s trading it in for a Stella McCartney pantsuit for the month of March!

According to CNN, Minnie’s new look was created to commemorate International Women’s Day and the 30th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris–both of which are celebrated next month. A press statement about the move said McCartney chose the design as an ode to “her legacy of female leadership” and women’s empowerment.

“Minnie has always had a special place in my heart,” McCartney said. “We share the same values and what I love about Minnie is that she personifies happiness, self-expression, authenticity…plus she has such great style.”

Minnie’s new look is a blue tuxedo with black polka dots and matching bow made f “responsibly sourced fabrics,” according to McCartney. She also added she hopes Minnie’s pantsuit will make her character “a symbol of progress and empowerment for a new generation.”

The green M&M has been known for feminine details, which included her fluttering eyelashes and a white pair of heeled booties. The candy company announced she will be sporting a pair of tennis sneakers moving forward to be more inclusive.

While the green M&M’s new look seems to be permanent, Minnie is reportedly only sporting her tuxedo to for the month of March. What are your thoughts on the new look, Roomies?
