Mo’nique Explains Her Fall Out With Oprah After Her Family Was Invited On Oprah’s Show

#Monique and #Oprah’s relationship has not always been the best, and Mo’nique is ready to speak her truth about what happened between them!

In an interview with @comedyhype, Mo’ gives intimate details about her personal life, her relationship with her family members, and the events leading up to her beef with Oprah. Mo’nique says it all started some years ago when her family was invited to speak on Oprah’s talk show.

Mo’ says her brother Gerald reached out to Oprah, wanting to speak about molesting Mo’nique when she was a child. Mo’ says he told Oprah he wanted to give other parents advice on how to identify predators and protect their children, seeing as though he is a predator himself.

“I said I don’t want nothing to do with that cat,” Mo says about her conversation with Oprah. “The n***a that I know is a scammer and I don’t want anything to do with it.”

Mo’ says Oprah agreed not to have her family on the show if she was not comfortable with them speaking on her personal life. Despite that sentiment, Mo says she began seeing commercials from the taping which included both of her brothers and her parents. Mo’nique claims she had no knowledge her entire family would be involved in the show, and requested it be “shut down”

“She never said my mother was coming on that show,” Mo says. “Because if Oprah Winfrey would have said she was having my mother on that show, I would have said shut it down.”

Mo says she and Oprah previously had an in depth conversation about her tumultuous relationship with her mother, and she feels Oprah disregarded everything she said. Shortly after the airing of the show, Mo says communication with Oprah stopped, and she confronted her at an industry party. Unfortunately, the issue has not been able to be solved.
