Roommates, Mo’Nique is setting the record straight following increasing rumors that she is set to join “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and replace series star NeNe Leakes. Mo’Nique posted a very quick video addressing the rumors and shutting them down, as she stated that NeNe “is irreplaceable.”
If you’re a “RHOA” fan, then you already know that following every reunion, rumors begin to start about who is returning, who has been fired and who has been demoted. Since she is the star of the show, NeNe Leakes is frequently at the center of casting rumors and has been rumored to be fired from the show multiple times—only to show up the very next season to reclaim her rightful peach.
So, that’s why many fans were not that alarmed at the current rumors of her firing…until they included Mo’Nique. There were online reports that Mo’Nique was coming to “RHOA” and would be taking NeNe’s spot, but she just shut those rumors down permanently.
In a short video on her Instagram, not only did Mo’Nique state that she would not be joining the show, she also took the time to give NeNe her flowers as the last remaining original cast member.
Mo’Nique said that “NeNe is irreplaceable” and also that “NeNe Leakes IS ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’.” As of right now, the only casting decision that has been made for the next season, is the recent announcement that Eva Marcille would not return after two seasons on the show.
