Reason why people hate flying 101: While you’re miles high in the air, shit can happen, and if its bad enough your chances of survival can be slim to none! Thankfully, that wasn’t the case for Morgan Freeman after his jet had experienced some issue after take off!
According to TMZ, Freeman’s flight took an abrupt turn of events after the jet he was on began experiencing severe hydraulic problems just after takeoff on Saturday night.
The plane had to make an emergency landing in Tunica, Mississippi which was reportedly 36 miles from where they originally came from in Clarksdale.The scary part came in after the pilot tried to land and the jet ended up careening off the runway and into a dirt field.
Reports speculated that one out of three things may have happened, either the pilot may have tried to land too late, the runway may have been too small, or the hydraulic issue that the plane was already experiencing may have interrupted the braking system.
Fortunately, the Oscar-winning actor, who was the only passenger on the jet, was left unharmed, “sometimes things don’t go as planned and a tire blew on take-off which caused other problems. But thanks to my excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson we landed safely without a scratch.” Unfortunately, he says its a different story for the his plane.
