Whew! Mais out here breaking all the norms and making it sound real peaceful! The R&B baddie sat down for a recent interviewand let it be known loud and clear that marriage and motherhood? Yeah, that was never on her bingo card. And, the way she said it? With her whole chest.
In a recent appearance with Melyssa Ford on the ‘Hot & Bothered’ podcast, Ma got real about why she’s never started a family. I’ve never had a desire for marriage and children, the 45-year-old revealed during the conversation, dropping some serious gems about how her upbringing shaped that mindset. Ma opened up about seeing her parents’ divorce and how that, along with her own life experiences, pushed her to carve a different path one thats rooted in independence, purpose, and spiritual alignment.
It’s not even my focus, and it never has been, she shared in part. … I’ve witnessed a divorce between my parents… I’ve witnessed a lot of things, and it’s also not been a safe place in my mind as a little girl. So I’ve always thought a little different the white wedding dress I was very fearful of those things, so I looked elsewhere and probably escaped too much in my work… Knowing that if I have to be gone 95% of the time, and my work calls for me to travel, that must be intimidating, and I also can’t show up properly for my significant other.”
Nonetheless, Ma explained that although she’s not “seeking” romance, she knows it will be “granted” to her in “divine time.”
“Not say I won’t [have the desire] and not to say I’m not open,” she concluded to Melyssa. “… [But] it hasn’t kicked in for me yet.”

Many are saying it all makes sense now sis is aging backwards because nobodys son is out here stressing her out! She was celebrating self-love the whole time and looking flawless while doing it. Ma BEEN that girl, and clearly, she dont need nobodys son to prove it!
