As previously reported, NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was arrested in March 2021 in Los Angeles. The charges are reportedly related to a September 2020 arrest regarding felony possession of a firearm. He was initially granted bond, but it was later revoked after the government filed a motion.
“The only evidence of their motivation behind this decision is the title of the operation, “NEVER FREE AGAIN,” a clear attack on to defendant’s brand “Never Broke Again” and related legal entities,” the court documents state.
Despite serving time, NBA YoungBoy has still found ways to connect with his fanbase. From recorded phone calls to audio clips, the rapper has kept his name going and thriving, just enough to land this honor on the Billboard charts.
