Roomies, it looks like a reconciliation may be underway between Ne-yo and his estranged wife Crystal Smith with divorce being a thang of the past.
As we previously reported, the couple announced that they were filing for divorce last month, but it seems they’re currently working through it and are trying to repair their relationship.
According to Bossip, Ne-Yo initially filed for divorce but has since requested for it to be withdrawn. In the initial filing, he requested that their marital assets and debt be split, per the prenup.
There was also a restraining order granted for both parties that prevented either one from taking the kids out of state and trash-talking one another in front of the kids, amongst other things. The two were also ordered to take a parenting class.
Apparently Ne-Yo has changed his mind. According to Bossip, last week the 40-year old requested for the divorce to be dismissed without prejudice, meaning he won’t be able to file again.
Earlier this month, we reported the two were quarantining together, despite going through the divorce procedure at that time.
In an Instagram post, Crystal posted a message that read:
“Sidechicks..yall ok? U miss that woman’s husband huh?”
Welp, a follower asked if she missed her husband (Ne-Yo) Crystal revealed that he was actually home.
“He’s home (Insert straight face emoji).”
Once she revealed they were spending time together, many of her followers gave her an applause and stated they hope she works it out.
While discussing their divorce, Ne-Yo stated in an interview with Private Talk Podcast that she [Crystal] was a good woman but their demons didn’t work together.
“It’s slowly but surely becoming public knowledge that myself and my wife have decided to go ahead and get a divorce,” Ne-Yo Said.
He continued, “It’s not a sad thing. It’s more of us realizing…long story short, I’m never gonna talk bad about her. I’m not that person, he exclaimed. There’s nothing bad to say about her. She’s a fantastic woman. She’s the mother of my children and she’s always gonna be that.”
After the confirmation of the divorce, Crystal was spotted with Chicago Black Ink Crew’s Ryan Henry, sparking Al Gore’s innanet to wonder what was really going on between the two of them.
Nevertheless, looks like spending time together during the quarantine may have saved their marriage.
Ne-Yo and Crystal Smith have been married for four years and also share two sons together.
