Nelly Showcases His Love For Ashanti
On Thursday, November 7, Ashanti dropped new photos on Instagram from her Oct. 29 performance at Game 4 of the World Series. TSR had reported that Ashanti sang the national anthem during the New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers game.
In the pics, Ashanti rocked a cropped blue fur coat, a Yankees top, and jeans. Nelly was clearly feeling his wife’s pics, commenting, “Alright now … see that’s how we got KK….” referring to their son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, born on July 18. Ashanti didn’t reply directly to her hubby’s comment but definitely showed love by liking it and pinning it to her post.

Nelly and Ashanti recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight to share exclusive details about their relationship. During the interview, the R&B songstress described their dynamic as strong-headed and strong-willed. The ‘Baby’ singer also credited Nelly with teaching her valuable life lessons.
“I don’t tell him all the time but I learned a lot about just being grateful and graceful and giving people grace, being open-minded and level-headed and not too emotional. I’m a little bit dramatic as he says,” Ashanti stated.
Ashanti also mentioned that she believes the universe doesn’t make mistakes and that Nelly continuously shows up for her as a BFF, soulmate, and protector.
“I have my soulmate, like my person, my best friend, my protector. You know, it’s an amazing feeling. I think the universe doesn’t make mistakes,” she added.
