Details On Nelly’s Arrest
TMZ reports that police took Nelly into custody for multiple offenses at 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning in the St. Louis area.
KRCG News states that authorities arrested Nelly, formerly known as Cornell Haynes II, for possessing ecstasy pills and for lacking insurance.
TMZ also obtained the musician’s mugshot, showing him expressionless with bloodshot eyes, wearing a black hoodie over a white shirt.
Authorities detained the ‘Ride Wit Me’ at the Maryland Heights Police Department but later released him.

Nelly’s arrest coincides with the exciting news that he and Ashanti are expecting their first child together.
As The Shade Room previously reported, the newlyweds celebrated their unborn with two baby shower’s in July.
E! News reports that Nelly surprised Ashanti with a baby shower earlier in July at a Dolce & Gabbana boutique. At the event, Ashanti’s father recalled when Nelly asked for Ashanti’s hand in marriage.
According to MEFeater, Nelly and Ashanti celebrated Baby Haynes with a second shower amongst family and friends at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York.
