According to the New York Post, Ashanti sang the national anthem before game 4 of the World Series kicked off on Tuesday, October 29. Per Sports Illustrated, the series is currently chronicling the face-off between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

After Ashanti’s performance, she returned to the stands to watch the game beside her husband. At that point, Nelly took to his Instagram Story to praise his wife for her performance.
“You did a great job!” he repeated before they shared a kiss. “That’s how we do it! That’s how them Haynes do it, baby!”
