New Mural Of Kobe Bryant And His Daughter Gianna Bryant Quickly Emerges In Los Angeles

As the world continues to mourn the heartbreaking passing of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant due to a sudden helicopter crash, the tributes and memories are pouring in. In Los Angeles, home of Kobe’s former team the Lakers, a mural of him and his daughter has already been put up—and it’s beautiful.

There is a photo of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna that is going around social media. The two are seen hugged up tightly together and smiling—that photo was the one used for the new mural of father and daughter following their recent tragic deaths.

Any Laker fan knows just how much Kobe meant to the city, including all of the championships he won and all the community outreach he did. So putting up a mural to honor his memory is a very fitting way to keep him alive. The text on the mural reads, “Kobe & Gigi Forever. Daddy’s Girl.”

At the time of the crash, Kobe and Gianna were reportedly flying from Orange County, California to the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, where Kobe hosted basketball clinics. Gianna’s basketball team was scheduled to play in the Mamba Cup, a youth basketball tournament that’s named after Kobe’s famous nickname.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said this about Kobe:

“A giant who inspired, amazed and thrilled people everywhere with his incomparable skill on the court — and awed us with his intellect and humility as father, husband, creative genius and ambassador for the game he loved. He will live forever in the heart of Los Angeles, and will be remembered through the ages as one of our greatest heroes. This is a moment that leaves us struggling to find words that express the magnitude of shock and sorrow we are all feeling right now, and I am keeping Kobe’s entire family in my prayers at this time of unimaginable grief.”

We want to continue to send Kobe’s family our endless thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
