Well damn! Was married life that bad? Nick Cannon said he won’t marry ever again after his split with Mariah Carey!
The couple officially filed for divorce in December 2015, ending six years of marriage, of which brought their beautiful twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
So anyways Nick interviewed with DuJour Magazine and opened up about his failed relationship. Now that it’s over he realized it was a stepping stone and a chance to learn that “marriage isn’t for everyone.” He quoted a friend who broke marriage down to him, and apparently that quote ether initiated or confirmed Nick’s opinion on marriage.
“If you heard that there was a 50/50 chance of living or dying when you jump out of a plane, you probably wouldn’t go skydiving,” he said. “There’s like a 50/50 chance of a marriage working. If it didn’t work out for you the first time, and you still survived it, you probably shouldn’t do it again.”
Following that statement they asked if he would take that journey down the aisle again.
“I highly doubt it,” he said.
We guess marriage doesn’t apply to “if at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again…”
He continues to support his argument during a good portion of the duration of the interview. He attributes his work schedule, ethics, and flexibility as reasons he would consider not marrying again. He cherishes his independence and that’s not something he feels another union could grant him.
“How do I say this the right way … Not to say that I was bogged down [in my marriage], because I wasn’t by any means, but I like being able to make my own decisions and come and go as I please,” he said.
In other news, Mariah looks happy with her new boo thang, James Packer. And as you guys saw, Nick and Mariah, for the sake of the twins have reportedly spent the holidays together.
Well it seems to be not too much bad blood there!
