On Saturday, August 9, Dez hopped on X with a whole apology for the rapper. In a heartfelt post, he wrote:
“On some G sh**..@NICKIMINAJ, I really don’t like the misunderstanding we had between each other .. I apologize for bringing up your husband’s past..it’s a shame only negative things make headlines between two black people who have much influence on our community.”
Dez went even further, saying he’s just out here trying to be a better man for his kids and the youth that’s watching him. “I pray for only peace and positivity your way,” he added.

Nicki wasn’t about to let Dez Bryant’s apology just sit there, though. The ‘Hard White’ artist hopped on X (formerly Twitter) quick to show love right back. “The Lord will grant you peace, Dez,” she tweeted.
“Nothing makes me respect someone more, than a public display of accountability. I accept your apology I apologize as well — if I offended you.”
But y’all know the Queen can’t resist a lil’ shade. She playfully added, “If you still wanna do that fight, lmk,” referring to Bryant initially wanting to fight her husband. “He def got them hands. seriously tho, all the best,” Nicki concluded.

What Led To Nicki And Dez Bryant’s Initial Fallout?
It all started when Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spilled some tea about Dez’s 2015 contract talks with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, claiming Hov allegedly ghosted him. Dez wasn’t having it and clapped back on X: “JERRY JONES I DON’T THINK ITS SMART TO MENTION MY NAME… WE CAN HAVE STORY TIME.”
Nicki, who’s been vocal about her own issues with Roc Nation over alleged unpaid Tidal funds, jumped in. “Every time you do a ‘Jerry Jones’ or ‘NFL’ story time, I’ll do a ‘story time’ of my own [about Roc Nation],” she tweeted.
Things got even uglier when Nicki brought up Dez’s 2012 domestic violence arrest, saying, “Go beat your mom.” This prompted Dez to fire back, calling Nicki’s husband a “s*x offender” and accepting her $10M fight challenge. He tweeted, “Go get that 10 million in cash.. I’ll stomp that n***a out. […] It’s ROC for life b****.” But with apologies exchanged, it looks like Nicki and Dez are ready to move on.
