Nicki Minaj surprised fans with a new single featuring Fivio Foreign. “We Go Up” was released on Friday, and quickly made it to number one spot on the iTunes chart. This accomplishment extended the rap queen’s record and makes for her 27th single to top #1 on the US iTunes charts. She is also the only rapper to do so.
Posting a message about the song to Instagram, Nicki wrote, “in 1 hour, the #1 song on US iTunes is #WeGoUp.” She continued to tag Fivio’s Instagram account and stated, #NoVideo #NoRadio #NoPlaylisting #NoDiscount #NoPromo.” Nicki also added, “Not a Republic Records single, no bag on it, just a surprise for the fans.” Championing New York, she stated, “NEW YORK STAND DF UP!!!!!!!!!”
As you know, she teamed up with Coi Leray, and they released Blick Blick, which also saw success on the charts. Nicki got the gworlz and the boyzzz waiting on a feature, chile.
