Nicki Minaj is not letting up on SZA after a two-day X tirade that’s got everybody talking on social media. The Queens rapper hopped back on the platform, firing shots at SZA’s tour, her past freckle-drawing days, and more. Meanwhile, SZA’s record label executive, TDE Punch, has also spoken out after Nicki’s targeted tweets.

What Else Did Nicki Minaj Say About SZA?
Nicki was leaning into her Mrs.Petty on Wednesday, July 16, when she caught wind of a retweeted post from 2015. The post quotes SZA, who allegedly wrote, “Nicki needs to stop with this alter ego bullshit. She look like a dumba** clown.” The timestamp only shows the retweet date, so we don’t know when SZA allegedly dropped this shade, but that didn’t stop Nicki from clapping back! She quote-tweeted the post, dragging Solána’s early career choices.
“Calling someone a clown while drawing freckles on your face & telling the magazine they were real,” Nicki Minaj wrote, posting a clip of a baby-faced SZA rocking her drawn-on freckles in an old interview. She didn’t stop there, though.

Before This, Nicki Had Some More Words For SZA
Before this latest jab, Nicki was already throwing darts. She quote-tweeted a video of SZA, real name Solána, at the Met Gala. At the event, the ‘Snooze’ singer was mid-interview when she took off looking for Rihanna after hearing her name in the background. Nicki wasn’t feeling the clip one bit, tweeting:
“Lol. These be the fake girl’s girls who talk sh*t but will run u down for a photo or do sh*t like this on camera to pretend they’re not the hater they rlly are. I wonder what she was lying about to the interviewer. Man it’s so freeing to REALLY be yourself.”
Again, Nicki was referencing resurfaced, not-so-nice tweets SZA allegedly wrote about Rihanna in the past. But if that wasn’t enough, Nicki also took aim at Solána’s tour with Kendrick Lamar, quote-tweeting a clip of their joint performance with, “Is that this ho tour or her bro tour.”

TDE Punch Reportedly Explains What Allegedly Led To Nicki’s Falling Out With SZA
On Wednesday, July 16, TDE president Punch, who formerly managed SZA, spoke with ‘The Breakfast Club’ co-host Loren Lorosa, shedding light on the heated feud between Nicki Minaj and SZA. According to Loren, who spoke with Punch in private, the tension stemmed from a 2020 feature request.
“He said, ‘Back in 2020, Nicki Minaj reached out for a SZA feature on a song.’ He responded and told Nicki Minaj that SZA was in album mode heavy and that he would get it over to her, and that was it. They never spoke again. Feature didn’t happen, but he says he’s lost after that as well.”
The conversation followed Nicki’s fiery social media posts targeting both Punch and Solána, where she claimed Punch bullied her after she rejected his business propositions.
