Sneaker giants Nike and Converse are in trouble with their fans, because they have announced their “Law Enforcemnet Appreciation Day” sale, giving 30% off to officers around the world!
The companies just want to show their appreciation and support of the officers that keep neighborhoods protected and safe. All you need to do is present your badge at check out!
However, folks on Twitter are going in on the two companies, because they feel as though the timing is all too wrong. Some feel that it is distasteful for huge corporations such as Nike and Converse to associate themselves with police because of the numerous high-profile murder cases at the hands of law enforcement, this year alone.
Now, we all know that all police aren’t criminals, but roommates, what do you think? Do you think Nike and Converse should pull the plug on the sale or do you feel that some folks are just being too sensitive? Tell us what you think!
