This may not come as a surprise to some, but the President-Elect Donald Trump may be having some difficulty finding someone to perform at his inauguration.
The Wrap is reporting that Celine Dion was asked to perform, but she declined the offer.
The report states that Trumps friend, Steve Wynn, who runs many hotels in Vegas, assured Trump that Celine would be on board–but it looks like Wynn clearly didn’t come through for his boy.
Wynn apparently also couldn’t deliver on getting country singer Garth Brooks to perform because he turned down the offer too–despite his multimillion dollar contract with a Wynn hotel in Vegas.
Celine Dion has not responded to the report, however, Trump’s camp is denying that they’re having problems booking talent for the inauguration.
“First class entertainers are eager to participate in the inaugural events,” the communications director for the Presidential Inaugural Committee, Boris Ephshteyn said.
“The inauguration as a whole will be an exciting and uniting celebration of freedom and democracy. We will be releasing further details at the appropriate time.”
Hmmm, maybe Trump should try reaching out to Kanye…
