Here’s What Princess Love Said

On Monday, February 26, Princess Love took to Instagram to share a lengthy message with fans. In the post, she explained that she and Ray J have made the “decision to divorce.”

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce,” she wrote. “After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways.”

As she continued, Princess Love explained that their decision was made “thoughtfully” and with “mutual respect.” Additionally, the mother of two shared that she and Ray are committed to having a “positive” co-parenting relationship, although their romance has ended.

From there, Princess Love shared a request for supporters of her and Ray.

A Brief Look Back On The Couple’s Break-Ups & Make-Ups

As The Shade Room previously reported, Princess Love initially filed for divorce from Ray J in May 2020. At the time, the pair had been married for four years.

A few months later, in July, Princess Love dismissed her petition, per The Shade Room. However, Ray J followed up three months later with his own divorce filing, per The Shade Room.

That divorce filing was also short-lived, as the pair called off their split in March 2021.

Then, in October 2021, Princess Love filed another petition for divorce. However, like the earlier instances, this would also end with the pair reconciling in March 2023, per The Shade Room.

In June 2023, the couple shared why they called off their last attempt to split while speaking at the BET Awards.

“I mean love is hard. It’s never easy but it always works out. And that’s what it’s supposed to be, right?” he said. “[It was] us just becoming best friends and doing things that she loves to do that I love to do and just hanging in there… For me, it’s just compromising a lot more and listening and trying to understand how we can make it right, and what I can do to be better too.”
