It looks like ObamaCare is here to stay! In a 6-3 outcome, The Supreme Court just approved of President Obama’s highly controversial health care act.
This is the second time in the three years that it has made it through the Supreme Court.
The Affordable Care Act, allows the Federal Government to provide nationwide tax subsidies to help poor and middle class people afford health insurance.
In a statement from Washington Obama said “Five years ago, after nearly a century of talk, decades of trying, a year of bipartisan debate, we finally declared that in America, health care is not a privilege for a few but a right for all,The Affordable Care Act is here to stay.”
The ruling was a major blow to Republicans who have been trying to get rid of this law since it became active. Many argue that it’s raising costs for small businesses and families.
This is a monumental move that means even after Obama is out of the office in 2017, Americans will still be covered.
