Jayda Cheaves is speaking out and setting the record straight after she was recently spotted with Lil Baby.
On Wednesday, April 10, The Shade Room obtained footage from Instagram user @crownemary_cuisine. In the clip, viewers could see Cheaves standing up from a restaurant table and making her way out of the aisle. Additionally, her ex-boyfriend, Lil Baby, stood nearby and followed Cheaves as they left the restaurant.
Furthermore, the clip was captioned with, “Ran into lil baby & Jayda…”
As the footage apparently made its rounds, Cheaves took to Snapchat to address a user who believed she was “back with” Lil Baby. Additionally, Cheaves made it clear that she and the rapper were only having lunch together.
“Yall are dragging it real bad.. Yall act like yall caught us f*****g or walking out a damn hotel. Yall better leave me tf alone. Weird ass lady recording us AT LUNCH…” she wrote in one post on Snapchat.
In additional posts, Cheaves let her fans know that she is grown and will “travel, talk to, entertain, go to lunch with, and talk to whoever she’d like. Furthermore, she explained that she’s been single “for a whole year now.”

According to Elite Daily, Cheaves and Lil Baby began dating in 2016 and share a son named Loyal Armani. Over the years, the pair’s relationship status remained on and off. However, in August 2022, Cheaves made it clear that she and the rapper were just “cordial” and “just friends” after they were spotted together in Atlanta, Georgia, per The Shade Room.
Then, in September 2023, Cheaves opened up about “recently” rekindling a previous romance. However, the mother of one did not specify which one of her exes she decided to spin the block on, per The Shade Room.
“Yeah, I, like, gave my relationship another shot, and it shot me,” she said, laughing. “Its really not funny [but] Im laughing its a trauma response.”
Most recently, Cheaves got candid with fans while explaining how she uses relationship “breaks” to have fun.
