Original “Aunt Viv” Actress Janet Hubert Snaps It Up With Will Smith For ‘Fresh Prince’ Reunion Special

Original “Aunt Viv” Actress Janet Hubert Snaps It Up With Will Smith For ‘Fresh Prince’ Reunion Special

The year 2020 has given us so many things we didn’t ask for but this unprovoked reunion may be a sign that things are turning around! Will Smith shared a few photos from the upcoming “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” reunion special and it appears Janet Hubert will make an appearance.

Late last month we reported that the 30-year anniversary reunion special will be coming to HBO Max.

All the nostalgia hounds were ecstatic for the news and found comfort in knowing that Will and his co-stars — Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Alfonso Ribeiro and DJ Jazzy Jeff — returned to tape the reunion special today, which is exactly 30 years to the day that the show premiered on NBC in the fall of 1990.

But it seems no one suspected that the original “Aunt Viv” Janice Hubert would also be there!

Will shared two pics from the reunion, one with the cast and one with Janet Hubert and himself. He also paid his respects to the late James Avery, who played the beloved “Uncle Phil”, in the caption.

The fact that Will and Janet were all smiles might come as a shock to fans given their years-long feud, with mainly Janet blaming will for her firing from the show. Back in 2011, she said there would “never be a reunion” but it’s clear times have changed.

It’s being reported that the pair will have a candid conversation during the reunion special, which is described as being a look back at the series, which starred Will Smith as a fictionalized version of himself moving from West Philadelphia to Bel Air to live with his wealthy uncle and aunt, as well as its cultural impact.
