Roommates! O.T. Genasis has the internet cuttin’ UP with reactions after he jumped on Chris Brown’s ‘Residuals’ challenge. Now, y’all know mostly singers have been tackling this one, but O.T. switched it up dropping his usual rap flow and tried to hit Breezy’s high notes instead. And baaaaby, social media is in TEARS over his version.
Recently, O.T. Genasis hit his fans with a lil’ surprise, dropping a video of himself on Instagram hopping on the ‘Residuals’ challenge. In the clip, he’s posted up in the studio, red solo cup and bottle in hand, obviously ready to cut up. Wasting no time, he kicks off his verse with, “If you know, you know I’m not the one to play with.”
Chileeeee! He stayed true to his own vibe, hitting a slow-motion c-walk to the R&B record. But the real kicker? He tried to tap into Chris Brown’s bag, stepping in the booth and belting out, “Tell me whooooooo,” making sure to give the high note his best shot.
The Roommates were in TEARS while reacting to OT Genasis’ ‘Residuals’ challenge in The Shade Room’s comment section. Some were even calling for him to drop a whole R&B album full of covers.

O.T. Genasis isn’t the only one to put a spin on Chris Brown’s hit. Chloe Bailey and R. Kelly also dropped their own versions. After both R&B stars jumped on the challenge, Breezy showed love, thanking everyone for rocking with the track. Then, he joked about dropping tour dates soon except he wasn’t playing!
On Thursday, March 27, he officially announced Breezy Bowl XX is kicking off June 8 with Bryson Tiller and Summer Walker. The singer also mentioned that the meet and greets will be happening, too!
