Royce O’Neale popped the big question during a romantic Cabo getaway. PEOPLE revealed that Phoenix Suns baller proposed to Paige Hurd on Feb. 13 while they were enjoying an intimate dinner at an oceanfront resort. Their dinner reportedly included rose petals, candlelights to set the mood, and a cozy fireplace. When dessert rolled out, the outlet reports that a slice of red cake came with the big question on the plate: “Will You Marry Me?”
Paige and Royce spilled all the tea to PEOPLE about what went down before the big moment.
“I was feeling nervous because I wasn’t trying to give off any nerve-wracking behavior or give any signs that something was up,” O’Neale explained. “I was really excited because I knew Paige wasn’t expecting it and wanted it to be a huge, special surprise.”

Furthermore, in January of this year, Paige had social media in a frenzy when holiday pics of her and Royce made rounds on social media. They were looking real boo’d up in their matching pajamas, but she hopped on Instagram to shut down the rumors — letting folks know she wasn’t pregnant and that she was older than Royce.
“I’m not pregnant. I’m older than Royce… The End,” the actress wrote.
Despite all of the rumors and Paige’s claims, the Phoenix Suns forward told PEOPLE he has been crushing on her for a minute since he grew up watching her in TV shows and movies.
“She was my lifelong crush. Couple years ago me and my friends were talking, I mentioned to them one day I will meet her, date her and marry her. Of course they thought I was joking, but I was serious — it was just the fact we had to meet each other in person,” he said.
