March 17 might’ve been Claressa Shields‘ birthday, but she used part of it to brag about her man, Papoose! Rather than her usual videos, selfies or captions about Pap, sis took her love to the booth. On Instagram, she showed that she gave him a mystery choice between a song and rap and now we know which he picked! And while the internet is sounding off with mixed reactions, Pap is here for his queen’s authenticity!

Shields announced her cross-platform release on social media early Monday (March 30). In the caption of her Instagram promo, she revealed ‘Faithful’ is her first R&B song, adding that it was a birthday gift for Papoose. And Pap dropped by her comment section with good energy, same as he previously did with the teaser. “Thank you, my love this is on repeat. I cant wait for the video. ,” Pap commented.
Claressa kicked off her 31st birthday riding around with Papoose, singing birthday songs, smiling and giving advice for the 30s era. By the end of her birthday, she had the internet gagged with a new music release. It’s not her first time in the booth, but this time, she turned the auto-tune up and sang about the “kind of man” Papoose is.
“So I wrote this song for you, cause our love is true. I’ll always be faithful to you,” Claressa Shields sings in the intro. And what kind of man is Pap in her eyes? One who doesn’t cheat, who won’t take her to dinner, then leave her. He caresses her soul and always supports!
Meanwhile, in the IG caption, she wrote: “Another year older & Im singing love into your life today! Speak the life you want into fruition! See the teaser clip she released below.
More than 3,000 comments in a little under 12 hours on her IG page. Even celebs were dropping in to speak on the track. Papoose dropped in a few hours after she posted, writing:
“ My new favorite song!!! I felt every word! This is exactly why I love you. Genuine at all times! You never hesitate to show your love. You went crazy on this!! ,” Papoose wrote in Claressa’s comment section.”
So, it looks like Papoose is riding with Claressa, regardless of how her comment section or The Shade Room’s 27,000+ comments. The reactions are mixed. Some IG users are here for lyrics and love, others are questioning going this hard behind a relationships. Here’s a look at what’s being said.
Princess Love stepped into TSR to write, “I like it”and above her comment @yandysmith_baber commented, “I can’t wait to act just like her.”

“This the type shit I do when I cheat so yeah whatever they said she didshe did that sh*t ,” @shon_smith wrote, referencing recent reports about cheating rumors involving Claressa.
@marilyn_monroe89 said she wants the opposite for herself, writing: “May this type of love find me where Im falling in love and singing songs off key and my man is my number one fan ”
“I would have saved the song until the divorce is final, then we can celebrate and get songs written for you. Let him get divorced sis.,” @norajones313 commented.
In December, Claressa Shields said in a ‘Breakfast Club’ interview that it’s going to take papers, and time before Papoose and Remy can fix their friendship. She sparked a wave of reactions for speaking on his divorce proceedings while he was also present at what started as his interview. As of this month, it’s unclear if Papoose and Remy have finalized their split or what arrangements they have regarding their daughter Reminisce, who turned 7 in Decembe.
