Patti LaBelle Is ‘Sorta-Kinda’ Open To Looking For A Relationship
The “Lady Marmalade” songstress made the revelation during her recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. After Jennifer—who observed that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner—inquired about whether Patti’s open to dating. In turn, Patti responded by coyly saying, “sorta-kinda.”
She went on to explain that her approach to the matter is a bit different from others’, as she was married “for 32 years to a wonderful man.” In fact, she’s still “good friends” with her ex-husband.
As a result, Patti is focused on finding a new, different happiness for herself, as she’s already enjoyed a “wonderful” love before.
“I was married for 32 years to a wonderful man, and we’re still friends—good friends. So I think, in life, I need to find a happiness for myself other than what I had back in the day with him, which was wonderful.”
The music legend was sure to also sassily point out, “I’m too good to be solo.” You betta let ’em know, Ms. LaBelle!
You Won’t Be Catchin’ Patti On Tinder: ‘What Are Dating Apps?’
As the conversation continued, Jennifer Hudson asked if Patti’s active on any of the popular dating apps. Humorously, Patti responded by asking, “What are dating apps?”
After Jennifer offered a brief explanation to bring her up to speed on how Tinder works, Patti commented, “I’ve seen that commercial!”
However, Patti admitted that she wouldn’t be checking out these apps anytime soon, as she already has her sights set on one lucky person.
“I do have a nice person in mind. I really do.”
Ms. LaBelle was sure not to spill too much tea though, as she noted that her love life is her “personal business.”
