People On Social Media React To Airlines Offering Payment Plans

After a year of indefinite lockdowns and not being able to catch flights, people are now coming out for the shenanigans and they are traveling and doing so with payment plans.

On Tuesday, people on Twitter were surprised to find out that some airlines offer payment plans when booking flights.

A tweet that went viral on Twitter read, “Airlines taking Klarna and AfterPay is wild crazy and i f**k with it.”

Immediately after the tweet was posted, people responded in shock. Someone said, “Airlines!?!?! Brb lemme go book a flight to somewhere exotic.” Another person tweeted, “Next woman I date getting a baecation right out the gate #thanksklarna.”

Someone also added, “Explaining klarna to my brother and I realized layaway got gentrified.”

We haven’t been able to confirm if a credit check is necessary, but these airlines certainly have a payment option for travelers–United Airlines, Delta Airlines, American Airlines, and Spirit.

You even have the option to “pay in 4,” which splits your payment.

If you didn’t know, Klarna and AfterPay are companies that provide financial services–payment plans and/or installments for purchases.

Essentially, you don’t have to pay the total cost for that product or service. Instead, you can split the cost up into multiple payments.

Chile, if there’s a will, there’s a way.

While you’re traveling, you must know that many airlines are no longer blocking middle seats. In December of 2020, Southwest Airlines announced that middle seats will be occupied. Something that they stopped doing during the peak pandemic.

With states like California and New York officially opening up and millions of people being vaccinated, I guess we are getting back to normal.
