It’s no secret that some fashion brands cater to a specific demographic. In a lot of cases, models who are considered ‘plus size’ are models who model single digit sized clothing.
Only a few men and women can actually look at a model and have an accurate imagination of what that outfit would look like on them. In reality, a lot of men and women can’t do the same because the models used do not represent the actual sizes they’re advertising for.
That being said, model La’Shaunae Steward has already been securing major modeling gigs for a while now. Even though she’s booked and busy, she is over the under representation and made a post calling out brands who do that–challenging them to have more representation and we’re here for it!!
