Pooh Shiesty Says Gucci Mane Doesn't Get The Credit He Deserves

Pooh Shiesty Says Gucci Mane Doesn’t Get The Credit He Deserves In The Industry (Video)

Since Gucci Mane arrived in the rap game in 2015, he has kept Atlanta on lock! Guwop has always had an eye for talent and has created a lane for newcomers in the industry. Back in the day, he was one of the first big-name rappers to collaborate with Nicki Minaj, who was up and coming at the time. Gucci has continued to co-sign rappers like Latto and sign artists through his ‘1017 Records,’ one of them being Pooh Shiesty.

During an interview with Ebro Darden for ‘Rap Life’ on Apple Music, the men discussed his debut mixtape “Shiesty Season.” The men took a second to pivot from the tape and brought up Gucci’s influence in the industry. “Gucci Mane got a good blueprint for you, though. You know he was successful in really bringing a lot of artists together in Atlanta and creating space for that,” said Ebro.

Pooh wasted no time by responding, “But you think it’s just Atlanta. Gucci doesn’t get the credit he really deserves. He might feel like he started somebody or put this artist on first, but he really did like way more behind the scenes that he doesn’t want to be acknowledged for.” He continued calling Guwop a mastermind.

Some of the Roommates agreed with Pooh’s statement and felt that Gucci needs to receive his flowers. One commented, “Anybody that knows music knows Gucci got a hand on a lot in the industry, especially with putting other artists on !!” Keyshia Kaoir, Gucci’s wife, always holds her husband down. She stepped into The Shade Room’s comments under the post and commented, “Facts!”
