Pooh Shiesty Will Remain Behind Bars After Judge Denies Bond (Update)

Pooh Shiesty Will Remain Behind Bars After Judge Denies Bond (Update)

Earlier this month, #PoohShiesty pled guilty to a conspiracy gun charge, which reduced his sentencing to a possible eight years instead of life.

When Pooh Shiesty entered the plea change, his attorney also filed a motion for bond. Unfortunately, it was denied, according to court documents obtained by TSR.

The motion stated that because his plea changed his circumstances were not the same, and he had a “right to pretrial release under reasonable conditions is a fundamental right under both the Florida and federal Constitutions.”

Pooh Shiesty’s attorney also stated that he is a rapper and “does not pose a danger to the community.” His attorney went on to mention that Pooh Shiesty had been compliant with his conditions thus far. The motion also requested a $1 million, 10% cash bond, but the judge denied the motion.

As we previously reported, Shiesty was facing life in prison for allegedly shooting a man in the behind at a Florida hotel.

According to Rolling Stone, the guilty plea will significantly reduce Pooh Shiesty’s sentence to a possible 8 years in prison. He has been charged with conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes, while prosecutors dismissed the other three counts in his indictment.
