Alright #Roommates, the 90s snack gods have officially answered your prayers because one of the decades most popular snacks is finally back for another round. If you miss the days when you could eat as many Dunkaroos as you wanted—you’re in luck because they are back…for good!
Following along the lines of other popular forms of 90s nostalgia such as the huge popularity of the Disney+ streaming service, food brands are also getting in on the fun. @Complex reports, General Mills has officially confirmed that Dunkaroos will return to U.S. stores shelves just in time for summer. This is great news, as it’s the first time that Dunkaroos will be available for purchase outside of Canada in several years.
Jeff Caswell, President of Snacks at General Mills, acknowledged the excitement from fans about the return of Dunkaroos:
“We’re thrilled to relaunch Dunkaroos in the U.S. after years of it only being available in Canada. For those who grew up in the ‘90s, the original cookie-frosting combo represents the taste, color and fun of being a kid during that decade. We know there’s a lot of love for Dunkaroos, and fans everywhere have been asking for it. We’re excited to help ’90s kids relive all the best parts of childhood.”
It didn’t take long for the news about Dunkaroos’ return to spread like crazy on social media. A brand new Twitter account replied to tweets from several celebrities, including Chrissy, Tyler the Creator and even Kim Kardashian.
