Roommates, we are sending our deepest condolences to the family of Cliff Dixon. Earlier this morning social media started to flood with the news of his passing. Now more details have been revealed as police are in search of the gunman that took his life.
According to TMZ, Cliff was celebrating his birthday at SL Lounge in Atlanta when an apparent gunman opened fire outside of venue around 1am Thursday. Police are currently investigating, but at the moment it is unclear if Cliff was targeted.
According to an incident report obtained by the site, an officer was reportedly sitting in his patrol unit outside of the club when he reportedly saw a black male wearing all black with a black skull cap fire at the victim.
The officer says that the suspect took off and he lost him as others around them started to run.
Cliff was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Cliff has been childhood friends with Kevin Durant, and he was reportedly a part of his inner circle. Recently, he dated reality star Erica Mena before their breakup last year.
