Gabourey ‘Gabby’ Sidibe and her husband, Brandon Frankel, are expanding their family! The ‘Precious’ star announced their first pregnancy via Instagram on Tuesday (Feb. 27).
But the pregnancy wasn’t the only surprise drop! The pair also revealed they’re expecting not one but two little bundles of joy. Yup, you read that right. Gabby Sidibe and Brandon will welcome twins this year!
“I’m pregnant! We thought it was time to give our cats some responsibility so we’re giving them each a baby to take care of! Double the babies, double the cats, double the fun!! Twin Delivery coming soon! Twinty Twinty Four,” the actress wrote in her caption.
Gabourey Sidibe kept her announcement simple with a carousel post featuring four photos. The married couple appeared to be shopping at a Babylist Shop. It’s an in-person shopping experience part of the popular online registry for expecting families.
In the photos, Gabby Sidibe wore a hot pink, long-sleeved pink dress with black boots. Meanwhile, her hubby wore a black tee, black pants, and peach-colored sneakers. Two of the four pictures show Brandon holding his wife’s baby bump from behind while they both cheesed for the camera.
Another showed them posing with a double stroller, but we can’t say whether they left the store with it. In the final shot, Gabby cradles her double-occupied bump in a side profile.

The pregnancy news comes a few months after the 40-year-old revealed in December that she and Brandon had tied the knot in 2021. She had been engaged since November 2020 after meeting on a dating app, per PEOPLE. In 2022, she told Brides magazine that their first date lasted “more than seven hours.”
Their simple wedding, “at the kitchen table,” came about four months after the proposal.
