Is Quavo a daddy? That’s what fans seem to think after the rapper teased visuals for his upcoming album, ‘QRMELIFE.’ The Pharrell-produced project is set to drop on October 2 and Quavo already hyped his supporters by revealing a collab with Offset. Now, folks are even more tuned in after he seemingly confirmed he shares a young daughter with his reported girlfriend, Erica Fontaine.
As mentioned, the former MIGOS’ rapper teased his new project on Monday (Sept. 28) with a short film. The video starts with him entering an unpacked room, with boxes everywhere. Then, a Google search for his name turns into throwback clips from his MIGOS days, including snapshots of Offset and his late nephew, Takeoff. Near the end of the video, he’s seen holding a baby girl seemingly in his lap as she gurgles and he says, “Hey, pretty girl.”
In The Shade Room’s comment section, the reactions ranged from absolute shock at the fatherhood development, while others had plenty more questions. A few Quavo fans teased the supporters who are just finding out Quavo privately welcomed his first child.
@ladygambino23 wrote, “All the girls in these comments sad. Yall gotta be strong like me when future drops a new child every year .”
“Y’all dont remember when he posted the big hfd balloons lol he been a daddy ,” @mabintyy added.
“One thing a man know how to hide is a baby on the way ,” @therealk_shiesty said.
@justjasminenoelle weighed in, “She is so cute and the Mama is pretty too.”
“Never know who having a baby till the baby born ,” @his_worstnightmerr commented.
“Oh they were real quiet on the creek ,” @medoum.tig added.
@shanae310 commented, “He really was hiding his baby from the world.”
“Told y’all! We heard that baby on that jet,” @ratedrel wrote.
@_raqpaperscissors joked, “And I hope that baby aint named Chrome with a Q.”
So WHEN did Quavo upgrade to daddy-hood? That part is still up for debate, but likely 2024. The album visuals, as seen above, show a toddler-aged child. After Quavo posted the short film, Erica Fontaine took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday (Sept. 29) with a full reveal of her daughter. Again, the child appears to be at least a one-year-old.
The photo Erica shared, when compared to her Instagram feed, was seemingly taken closer to New Year’s Day. Quavo’s visual only shared a small portion of the girl’s face, but at first glance, she appears to be the same child Erica posted. Also, earlier this year, Quavo posted Erica Fontaine for Mother’s Day. However, none of her IG posts from 2024, 2025 or 2026 show a baby bump.
