Last week allegations started to spread that R. Kelly allegedly has a group of women in a sex cult. The news quickly expanded and caused the singer to trend on social media.
Following the allegations, one of the women in the alleged cult spoke out reassuring that the rumors were false. Her family responded and claimed that the rumors were very much true.
According to Daily Mail, R. Kelly has now reportedly added Bill Cosby’s former lawyer Monique Pressley to his defense team.
Pressley helped defend Cosby as he faced charges of sexual assault before stepping down from his legal team last August.
Pressley refused to release a comment on the situation. Last week, Linda Mensch, another attorney for R. Kelly, released a statement on his behalf in regards to the allegations.
The statement read, “Mr. Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed at the recent revelations attributed to him. Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such allegations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.”
