R. Kelly Supporters Hold ‘Free R. Kelly’ Protest In Brooklyn

R. Kelly has been locked up since 2019 on multiple sex crime charges but that hasn’t stopped his fans from standing by his side.

Despite numerous claims of sexual abuse and sexual acitivity with minors, fans of R. Kelly are demanding he be set free.

R. Kelly has been denied bail on several occasions and his lawyer is trying to get Kelly out of prison as he waits for trial.

On Monday, fans took to the streets of Brooklyn for a “Free R. Kelly” protest as they marched demanding justice for the embattled singer.

A banner reading “Justice For R. Kelly ‘Due Process’” was held by two protesters in the front of the group as a man leading the protest spoke out through a megaphone, according to Hot New Hip Hop.

“Sony Records is the real pedophiles,” he declared on the microphone. The video was initially posted on producer Marco Polo’s social media accounts.

If this looks familiar, not too long ago a similar R. Kelly rally was held in his hometown of Chicago about a few weeks ago where dedicated fans marched the streets, calling for R. Kelly’s freedom.

His fans marched down the street chanting “Free R. Kelly” and “Where were the parents?”

This recent protest comes on the heels of reports that R. Kelly was petrified in jail following an assault on his life from a fellow inmate.

Kelly’s attorney said that he is afraid to leave his cell in light of those recent events, hoping this would prompt officials to release R. Kelly until his trial. We’ll keep you posted.
