Many of you may know Raymond Santana as 1/5 of the Exonerated 5.
Late Monday, he posted a photo of himself with media personality Deelishis to his Instagram as the two of them spent some time together. In the post, he said, “Date night with this beauty… @iamsodeelishis #atlanta #thebeginning #shooting #theshot.”
His initial post was met with mixed reviews as some showed their support and expressed how happy they were for him. Meanwhile, some were confused because they were under the impression he was a married man.
Nonetheless, on Tuesday, he came back with a second photo of him and Deelishis to address the reactions he had received from the first post.
Raymond said, “Ok… so first off, this picture is for all the HATERS!!! Second..NO..IAM NOT MARRIED..so stop reading those fake ass websites that get all of my info wrong. And third.. thank you to all the true people who love and support me regardless…I appreciate you guys.”
As many of you know Raymond’s life was portrayed in the Netflix series “When They See Us,” directed by Ava DuVernay. He is one of the five men formally known as the Central Park 5, they were wrongfully convicted for a crime they did not commit as teenagers, and they spent a great portion of their lives behind bars for it.
Nonetheless, each of the men continues to prosper to this day. Raymond, in particular, has started his own clothing brand called “Madison Park NYC,” which is dedicated to their movement.
Many of you may also be familiar with Deelishis, she first starred on the second season of the VH1 hit series “Flavor of Love,” back in the day. Throughout the years she has transitioned over into modeling, and she also has a career in radio as well.
