Rayshard Brooks’ Wife Is Surprised With A New Car & Clark Atlanta University Provides Full Scholarships For His Children

The Atlanta community is showing up and showing out for Rayshard Brooks’ family following his unfortunate passing. Aside from protesting and making sure that justice is served when it comes to his case, members of the community are making sure that his wife and children are taken care of as well.

On Friday, attorney L. Chris Stewart shared that the owners of the local Atlanta restaurants, “Slutty Vegan” and “Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks” surprised Rayshard’s wife Tomika Miller with a new car, and also revealed that Clark Atlanta University will provide full scholarships to all the kids guaranteed.

As we previously reported, Rayshard was killed earlier this month in Atlanta in the parking lot of a Wendy’s off University Avenue. The shooting officer was identified as Garrett Rolfe, and he was fired following the incident, and the other officer involved in the incident was Devin Brosnan, who was placed on administrative duty.

The death of Rayshard took place during a time where uprisings have been taking place all over the world, which only intensified the protests that had taken place in Atlanta. It also led to the Wendy’s restaurant, where the shooting happened, to be set on fire.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Garrett Rolfe, the now-former officer responsible for shooting Rayshard was charged with felony murder, and aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, and violations to his oath of office.

Devin Brosnan was charged with aggravated assault and two violations of oath of office.
