Raz-B and his wife Mona Li are continuing to navigate the heartbreaking loss of their baby boy, Astro Monte Thornton. Now, new details are emerging. They shed more light on what happened after authorities were called to the couples Atlanta home earlier this month.
According to an Atlanta Police Department incident report obtained by TMZ, officers responded to a person down call shortly after 8 AM on September 8. Upon arrival, officers were directed to 3-month-old Astro, who was unresponsive.
EMS also responded to the home and pronounced the infant dead at the scene. The departments Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit were notified and responded as investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding Astros death. Police say a search warrant was obtained, and investigators documented and collected items they believed could have evidentiary value. The report also states that officers did not observe any obvious signs of trauma or foul play.
Astros body was subsequently turned over to the Fulton County Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy. Although the autopsy has since been completed, officials have reportedly said his official cause and manner of death remain pending. The investigation is still ongoing.
Raz-B and Mona announced their sons passing last week, describing his death as unexpected. The couple welcomed Astro in May and also shares an older son, Versai. At this time, authorities have not publicly released a cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Raz-B expressed his gratitude for everyone who had reached out during the difficult time, writing, Your kindness means more than words can express.
Raz-B also revealed that the family was preparing to lay Astro to rest on Monday, September 14. After receiving messages from supporters asking how to send flowers, the singer shared the address of a funeral home in Atlanta, Georgia. The funeral home is handling the arrangements for Astro. Raz-B continued to thank everyone who has shown love and support to his family as they mourn the loss of their baby boy.
