Taking to his Instagram Story on Sunday, September 13, Raz-B thanked supporters for surrounding him, Mona, and their family with love, prayers, and well wishes during this heartbreaking time. First, I want to thank everyone for all the love, well wishes, and prayers youve sent to my wife, our family, and me. Your kindness means more than words can express, Raz wrote.
The singer went on to reveal that the family is preparing to lay their infant son, Astro Monte Thornton, to rest on Monday, September 14. Raz also acknowledged the outpouring of support from those who have reached out and asked how they could send flowers, sharing the address for a funeral home in Atlanta, Georgia. We truly appreciate your love and support, he wrote.
As previously reported, heartbreaking news surfaced this week regarding the unexpected passing of Raz-B and Mona Lis three-month-old son. According to TMZ, sources close to the family confirmed the infant had passed away earlier in the week. At the time, the cause of death had not been determined.
On Friday, the Fulton County Medical Examiners Office confirmed that an autopsy had been completed on Wednesday. However, the cause and manner of death remained pending as the investigation continued.
