Real Boston Richey is back on social media and flexing after becoming a free man this past week. The Tallahassee rapper was recently released from federal custody and celebrated his first day out by surprising his mother with a brand-new truck.

Real Boston Richey Celebrates Freedom With A Gift For His Mom
Fresh out of federal custody, Boston Richey wasted no time making a grand gesture for his family. The rapper marked his homecoming by buying his mother a luxury car topped with a giant red bow.
Photos from the dealership show Richey standing proudly with his mom in front of the new ride, smiling and toasting with champagne. He captioned the post, “170k onna Flo first day out,” in part, highlighting the six-figure purchase.
Why Was Boston Richey In Jail?
Boston Richey, born Jalen Taheen Foster, was reportedly released from federal custody after facing a November 2023 indictment on marijuana possession and weapons charges, according to HotNewHipHop.
A judge initially allowed him to return home under electronic monitoring, but an outstanding warrant seemingly put him back on the authorities’ radar. That warrant stemmed from a March incident in Houston, where Richey allegedly assaulted his then-girlfriend, Tatiana Chanell, outside a nightclub. Reports at the time claimed Chanell was pregnant during the altercation and that Richey had choked her during the dispute.
On Aug. 25, a Texas judge reinstated Richey’s bond, clearing the way for his federal release. With the warrant hold removed, a Florida court restored his release conditions, including a curfew and GPS monitoring until his retrial on September 29, per Complex.
