We all know that Solange Knowles-Ferguson is Beyoncé’s little sister, but she’s so much more than than– she’s an individual. It takes a lot of confidence to step out from behind the shadow of someone that’s not you and to thrive, and we believe Solo has done just that. 2.) She fights for what she believes in.
You can take that however you want. #NoShade, but this woman is passionate! I’ve always taken the line “My sister told me I should speak my mind” in Bey’s Flawless to mean that she’s the type of person who always stands up for what’s important to her.
3.) She’s a great mother.
Solo gave birth to her son Julez in 2004 and she has clearly become a better woman because of him. Just look at how happy she is! They say your kids help you learn about yourself and it appears that she’s got a clear understanding of life.
4.) She has great taste in music!
Didn’t know she was a DJ, did you? She’s graced many ears with her sickening mashups at various high-profile industry events and even spins at her own parties.
5.) She’s unapologetically expressive.
