On January 20, Mabel, Curtis, Eugene, Larry, and Bubbe announced that Grandma Rose passed away at age 75.

They described her as a hilarious and thoughtful member of their family.
Then, they let Grandma Rose speak for herself in a video montage. “You have to grab that bull by its horns and then just take it down,” Reatha Grey said in the first video, which includes other videos of her LIVING HER BEST LIFE! She is dancing, smiling, diving in tanks, making TikTok content, and bungee jumping. “Doing things that make you happy. Take time for yourself…,” Rose said.
“And last, and I think most importantly, love. People will try to poke you and do things to make you hate them; just pay no attention to that. Just love, and you’ll have a happy and fulfilled life,” Grandma Rose advised in the last clip.
In a second post, the ‘Retirement. House’ fam shared more photos and videos of Reatha Grey showing her personality. “Gone but never forgotten. The world is a better place because you walked through it,” the caption says. On Tuesday, ‘Retirement House’ reposted content honoring Reatha Grey from previous collaborators, including visual artist Jeny @jenyslegit, who wrote:
“Miss Reatha, the only version of you I know is one that’s having fun. Sad we don’t get to see that in the physical anymore, but I know you’re still having fun. ’til I can photograph it all again. Rest in love. Sending so much love,e friends @retirementhouse.”

A quick rundown: Reatha Grey has been appearing in shorts, TV series, and a few films since the 1970s. She graduated with a major in Theater Arts and then was on the acting scene for over a decade before turning to ministry. Acting found her again in 2007, and she later landed roles in hit shows like ‘The Protector.’
Fast-forward to 2021, and Reatha joins ‘Retirement House.’ “Six seniors in our golden years” is how they describe themselves on IG — and live they DO. A lavish home with all the content creating space to rack up 1.8 million followers on IG and 5.9 on TikTok. The number of combined views on their content? Their bio implies Four billion.
“What we get to do is wonderful, Reatha Grey told the New York Post in 2022. “I want to make people laugh and have a good time. This is my dream job.”
On TikTok, ‘Retirement House’ replied to comments on their death announcement post. One fan said 2025 had been the worst, with only 21 days in. “2025 has been tough for us as well, but we must remember, things always get better,” RH replied.
“We’re still processing as well, She lived such an amazing and fulfilling life💚 a true queen,” another RH reply said to a fan who write, “This just made me so sad.”
