Reginae Carter doesn’t hold back — not when it comes to defending her family or when speaking her mind. You might remember back in February when she responded to folks on social media critiquing her life and love choices. Her fierce loyalty might be a trait she adopted from her mama Toya Johnson. Toya herself is known for clapping back at trolls, especially over her children. But on Tuesday, the pair stunned social media for a different reason. Reginae and Toya looked more like sisters than daughter and mother in a recent post made by them both.
The photo was posted to Instagram on both Reginae and Toya’s official accounts. Reginae’s caption displayed a light tone.
“If ‘I get it from my mama’ was a picture,” Reginae wrote.
Meanwhile, Toya’s caption spoke on her Mother’s Day weekend with her daughters Reginae and Reign.
“My Mother’s Day weekend was pretty lit! I was able to have a good time with both of my daughters. #nightlifewithNae,” Toya captioned her version of the post.
In the photo itself, both ladies are wearing all-black outfits. Toya is seen standing to the left of Reginae wearing a two-piece crop top and shorts. The top is cut slightly low, while the Tom Ford shorts give off a fitted look. Toya accessorized the outfit with peep-toe, see-through black heels and a mini, silver Balenciaga bag. Her face is slightly turned away from the camera to look at her daughter.
Reginae equally stuns alongside her mother. She wore a long-sleeved, black mini dress with a black, bralette. The dress features circle cut-outs on the chest area hence displaying the bralette. She accessorized her outfit with an icy, diamond watch, diamond necklace and clear, black heels. Like her mother, she too carried a black version of the mini Balenciaga bag.
