A new video has surfaced showing the moments before Renee Nicole Good, 37, was fatally shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minneapolis — and the footage is already fueling national debate. The 47-second clip, obtained by Alpha News and widely shared on social media, captures the tense interaction between Good, her wife, and federal agents moments before gunfire rang out.

Good Talks With Agents Before SUV Moves And Shots Ring Out
The video begins with the ICE agent filming Good’s maroon SUV while she sits behind the wheel, a dog in the backseat. Good can be heard calmly speaking to the officer, saying, “That’s fine dude. I’m not mad at you.” A second woman, thought to be Good’s wife, stood on the street filming the interaction and told the ICE agent, “We don’t change our plates every morning… just so you know, it will be the same plate when you come talk to us later.”
Meanwhile, one officer instructs Good to exit the vehicle. Within seconds, the situation escalates: Good moves her car forward, the camera jerks skyward, and gunfire is heard. In the aftermath, the SUV is seen veering off the road as other agents remain standing nearby.

Federal And Local Officials Clash Over Shooting Investigation
Federal and local officials are clashing over the response. Vice-President JD Vance defended the ICE agent on social media, saying he acted in self-defense after his life was “endangered,” while White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt accused media outlets of smearing the officer. Minnesota officials, including Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, have challenged the federal account, asserting that Good posed no threat and was trying to leave the scene, not attack. The FBI is investigating, but state authorities claim they have been blocked from accessing evidence.
Wife Breaks Silence On Renee’s Death And ICE Chaos
Good’s wife, Becca Good, has paid tribute to Renee, describing her as a woman who “kindness radiated out of” and emphasizing that the couple had gone to support neighbors during ICE activity. “We had whistles. They had guns,” Becca said, highlighting the disparity in force. Demonstrations erupted across Minneapolis and other U.S. cities in response to Renee’s death. Meanwhile, protesters call for accountability and, in some cases, the abolition of ICE. Governor Walz activated the National Guard to help manage security amid the growing unrest.
