On Tuesday, March 4, TMZ published an exclusive report asserting that Champagne revealed both fans and loved ones of Stone will have the opportunity to mourn her passing. Per Stone’s rep., the singer’s family has reportedly begun planning a public memorial that will be held in Atlanta, Georgia.

At this time, the date and the venue for the memorial have not been set in stone. However, the singer’s family believes it will be a “large and star-studded turnout.” Therefore, they are reportedly planning accordingly.

Furthermore, in addition to the public ceremony, Champagne reportedly noted that Stone’s family is also planning an intimate funeral for the singer. The homegoing service will reportedly be held in Columbia, South Carolina. Additionally, the location is reportedly where Angie Stone will be laid to rest.

Lastly, Champagne reportedly noted that the date of Stone’s funeral has not yet been set.

The Singer’s Family Recently Spoke Out

As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this week, Angie Stone’s family released an official statement addressing her passing and noting her legacy.

More Details On The Recent Passing Of Angie Stone

As The Shade Room previously reported, Angie Stone passed away after leaving a performance in Montgomery, Alabama, on Saturday, March 1. Subsequently, it was revealed that Stone’s Mercedes-Benz sprinter van “overturned” on Interstate I-65 before being hit by a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia truck.

Furthermore, Stone was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the sprinter’s driver and seven other passengers were taken to the hospital. According to TMZ, Stone’s rep. has indicated that “speculation as to how the crash happened” has surfaced. However, authorities have yet to share an official report.
